Just starting to learn how to fish the SRP canals. I'm really surprised on how many Bass, Catfish, Carp, and BlueGill are in these canals! Its literally stuffed with these fish. We are going to be doing a lot more fishing videos here for sure! This canal is located around the Chandler/Gilbert area ( We don't want to give out our spot ;) ). You need a state fishing license to fish the SRP canals and MUST release every White Amur, everything else you can keep (Statewide limit applies). This video is made 100% with my GoPro 3+ Silver HD. Like and Subscribe for future videos :) These are old clips. Its getting really hard to get any footage because the season is changing and its harder to catch fish where I live so bear with me please :) Thanks

We ride this trail everyday and the past few days have been over 110 degrees! We connect to this trail from Skunk creek trail around 55th ave and Union hills by the skate park. Our ride has been about 20 or so miles each day.The Arizona Canal Trail is one of the longer multi-use trails in Maricopa County, running between Phoenix and Peoria along both sides of the Arizona Canal, one of the county's vital waterways. The trail provides access to a large number of residences, commercial centers, schools, and other recreational opportunities. The trail connects to a number of other trails along its route, including the New River Trail, the Cave Creek Trail, and the Skunk Creek Trail. The AC trail is 35.9 miles but connects to other trails all over the Phoenix area.
Who says you can't have some fun in the canal? A can of corn, some Size 10 bait holders, and a few bits of lead are all you need! Music by Synapsis "AT1" http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Synapsis/Armageddon/AT1 Used Under http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

During the cleaning of the Arizona Canal, workers relocate fish by transporting them in a crane-operated net into a waiting water tank truck. They will be released in a different part of the canal system. Video by Nick Blumberg.

I went fishing on a warm humid morning on August 26, 2014. The catfish were on the hunt in this muddy canal water.
Went fishing on a April morning on the AZ canal. Caught this catfish after casting along the bank.
